Setting up DNS records Print

  • 54

DNS records are basically the translation of your domain name to the IP address of where the domain name hosting hotel is located:

  • MX records designate where your mail hosting hotel is located.
  • A-records designate where your website hosting hotel is located.
  • Skymotor provides a default setting that is unchanged to suit most needs.

If you need to set DNS records at Skymotor, you do so by:

  1. Logging into your control panel as explained in your 'New Account Information' email
  2. Select Zone Editor, from where you can set your DNS records
  3. Details can be found here https://docs.cpanel.net/whm/dns-functions/dns-zone-manager/86/

If you need to set DNS records with a 3rd party DNS provider, you can do so by:

  1. Logging into self-service. Get your instructions from the provider's documentation or by contacting support
  2. In the list of DNS records you can set your DNS records
